CSI is an active national organization which stands on the strength of technically sound professionals and students. CSI offers seminars, workshops and technical events on ongoing trends. On this wonderful platform students organize and display the organizational skills and interact with technocrats in a way giving them a versatile exposure.
On 7th Aug 2008 Cummins College joined hands with CSI by starting its own students’ chapter. Since this inspection of CSI student branch faculty and student members have been consistently organizing and participating enthusiastically in various CSI events. CSI Student Branch of Cummins College of Engineering for Women offers a platform to students to organize and display the organizational skills and to interact with technocrats in a way giving them a versatile exposure. Along with organizing seminars, workshops and technical events for students and professionals students are open to present their raised areas in which they want to work. For the benefit of society extension activities are also conducted. The extensive hard work put in is published through this e-newsletter under CSI gives them an excellent platform to showcase their technical skills.
The college was selected for its outstanding contribution to the various CSI National level activities. Few of the notable activities include organizing National level project competition, hosting CSI state level student convention, volunteering many National and Local seminars, quizzes and social initiatives promoted by CSI.
MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune has won two consecutive years the “Computer Society of India-National Best Student Branch Award” for the year 2011-12 and 2012-13. Also, the branch has won “Best Accredited Student Branch Award” in the year 2017.
Prof. Vaishali Salgar received CSI award for “Longest Continuous Student Branch Coordinator” for year 2015-16, 2016-17.
