Program Overview:

The Cummins Fellowship Program was conceptualized in the year 2003 with goodwill of Dr. John Wall, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Cummins Inc. and Dr. Jay Gore, Reilly University Chair Professor of  Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering School, Purdue University.

The first student from Cummins  College of Engineering reached Purdue campus in Fall 2004.
Purdue University is a public land-grant research university with its main campus situated in West Lafayette, Indiana. It is considered as one of the top ranking universities and provides world-class education and  opportunities for research. Important institutional rankings in the USA have ranked Purdue University among  the best public universities in the United States. Purdue University is well known for its engineering programs.

Till today, 52 students have benefitted from this program.

Objectives of the Cummins Fellowship Program at Purdue University:

∙ To develop women engineers with technical, cultural and communication skills to meet global  challenges in engineering and technology.
∙ To get education at World class University.
∙ To be part of global technical revolution.
∙ To experience work culture at reputed multinational company.

As a top graduate of CCEW, a student is invited by Cummins to apply to Purdue University for acceptance into a Masters Degree program in Mechanical Engineering. The program today allows the sponsorship of students each year in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering School, Purdue University.

∙ 2 year, thesis based MS program.
∙ Summer Internship at Cummins Facilities at US.

Eligibility and requirements:

∙ Final year students from relevant branches can apply.
∙ Commitment, Honesty and Hard work.
∙ Competitive GRE and TOEFL scores.
∙ Good academics and all-round personality.

Selections are subjected to meeting the interests of Cummins Inc. and Purdue University together.
