Cummins College is the first all women engineering college in India established in the year 1991 with support of Cummins Diesel (India) Foundation. Parent institution of Cummins College is Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS). ‘Bharat Ratna’ Recipient, Maharshi Karve, established MKSSS in 1896 with the mission of women empowerment through education.
College is located in the Pune city which is known as ‘Oxford of the East’. Pune is also hub of automobile, manufacturing and software industries.
CCEW is recognized for its rigor in academics and dedicated faculty, successful alumnae being its outcome. CCEW has a strong association with the industry and is recognized for providing quality recruits for the industry.

MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra state, Mumbai.
Cummins College is offering five undergraduate programs, two post graduate programs and Ph.D. program. All undergraduates, post graduates and Ph.D. programs are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Autonomous Status to the Institute
MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women is an autonomous College from Academic Year: 2016-2017. As an Autonomous Institute, College can design the program structure and Course Contents of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. College Conducts Examinations adhering to the rules and regulations laid down by Governing body of the College. On successful completion of the program, student receives degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Under ‘Cummins Fellowship Program’ students are selected for Masters program (MS) at Purdue University (USA). The fellowship program started in 2004. Cummins Inc. and Purdue University offer Scholarships (full tuition fees) to the selected students.
